Here's what I have been up to. After some prompting by Jeff and Yin, including a visit to an aquarium shop in Muar, we started our fish tank about a week ago. And just last weekend, we got ourselves 10 Neon Tetras to be the pioneer batch of inhabitants.

Woohoo... nice looking hobby. Be extra careful with the tetras, dont put in other aggressive fishes, they are not so hardy (that's some pointers I learnt). And dont change water drastically either... wah, feel like a pro.
Anyway, looking forward to seeing your hobby reach greater heights!
Hi Ben, cool layout! I like the composition of different plant types and heights hidden around the rocks.
Make sure you change 30% of the water weekly using the hand pump for a start. Try hovering the pump across the substrate surface to remove dead leaves and debris. Its quite a tricky business at first as sand tends to be pumped out but soon you will get a hang of it.
Next challenge: algae control ;)
