View from the top

On Monday, I had the chance to take a ride on the inaugural flight of the Singapore Flyer. My chance came late in the day when they could not find a willing volunteer to take the visiting director to the event.

Arriving at the flyer complex, we were entertained with a brief launch consisting of dancing lions and lots of drinks. Next came the long wait before our turn to climb up the stairs to the launch platform.

Our capsule, which had around 28 people, was confortable but still we had to take turns to snap shots of the marina bay scenery. It was moving so smoothly that I don't even feel the motion. Then at the top, we started tossing the yu sang with the rest of the passengers. The 2 rounds it made took over an hour, and we were all ready to come down after that.

Wow so good! To be one of the first in the flyer. So worth the money?

souplad, your turn will come soon ... in march

polarbear, I am not sure whether I was worth the money (must ask the host :)) but it's certainly worth a go when it opens to the public.
